Jake and Emelie’s day truly was a reflection of them; romatic, elegant and fun! These two high school sweet hearts have been long distance since Jake has been away at the Merchant Marine Academy, and so this day was extra special and included friends from across the country.

It seems like Jake, Emelie and I always luck out with beautiful light (see their San Francisco sunset engagement shoot here ). After the ceremony we took a little stroll around Murrietta’s Well, chasing the gorgeous light. We even came across a few horses unexpectedly. Jake was such a gentleman and actually ended up carrying Emelie over his shoulder when her feet began hurting on our walk (so sweet + made for adorable pictures!) I love when a bride and groom are willing to take a few minutes out from their reception for sunset photos, it always results in some of my favorite images!
