Sometimes you just get lucky.

This was one of those times – I lucked out by getting to work with this sweet couple AND the sunset really showed up for our Crissy Field photos. The colors were just unreal.

Jake & Emelie are high school sweethearts (love that!), and could not be more adorable together. I just love the way that Jake looks at Emily. These two were so fun to photograph because they really love each other. No matter how beautiful the sunset is or how great the lighting, I can’t make photographs like these without authentic emotion. The people, their love and their story make the image and you just can’t fake that.

We began our session at the Palace of Fine Arts, which we learned is not only a gorgeous spot for photos, but also makes for fun people watching. We ran into quite the eclectic mix of people.

Emelie’s gorgeous hair needed a shot of it’s own. Seriously, amazing.









Crissy Field. Seattle will always have my heart, but San Francisco isn’t so bad. Especially on days like this.
