As a Sonoma family photographer, I love working with families who value connection, beautiful light, and relaxed moments. This fall family session took place on a stunning private estate in Sonoma, surrounded by olive trees and Mountain View’s.

I’ve photographed this family a few times over the years, and every session just gets better. The boys are full of energy and fun, and their little sister brought a purse to the session that she proudly carried the whole time—it made multiple appearances in the photos, and honestly, it was perfect.

We met at a private property in Sonoma, tucked among olive trees with soft evening light and mountain views in the distance. It couldn’t have been a more peaceful setting. We played a game of telephone, explored the property, and let the kids take the lead. That’s always when the best moments happen—when things feel relaxed and easy.

This family knows how to enjoy being together. Nothing forced. Just connection, movement, and letting the moments unfold naturally. That’s always my favorite kind of session—the ones that feel like real life, but with beautiful light and space to slow down.
